About this blog

Hello everyone! I’m a recent transplant to Western Massachusetts, after having moved here from New York City where I lived for eight years, and where I completed my MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay at the School of Visual Arts. Before then, I had received my dual degree BA in English (with a focus on children’s literature) and visual art studies at the University of Florida. I’ve traveled a lot, which has led to an obsession with history and an interest in other cultures throughout the ages. I’ve always loved children’s literature and film, especially fantasy and historical fiction.

Clients include Scholastic, Simon + Schuster, Llewellyn Worldwide, Oxford University Press, Henry Holt Books for Young Readers, Metropolitan Books, Small Beer Press, AAA Traveler magazine, and MTV Books. I’m the illustrator of Diamond and Fancy, both published by Cartwheel Books, an imprint of Scholastic, and part of the Breyer Stablemates easy-to-read series. I also illustrated I am Martin Luther King Jr. I am George Lucas, and I Am Cleopatra, all written by Grace Norwich and published by Scholastic; and I contributed illustrations for The Shadowhunter’s Codex by Cassandra Clare, Simon & Schuster.

    Dear Elisabeth,

What a pleasure to see your accomplishments! I must admit I am not the least bit surprised! I can still remember the beautiful work you did as a student at SMM. If ever you are in town, please stop by to inspire our students. We would love to see you! Wishing you all the best going forward. Congratulations on your success!
